Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. It is vain for. Psalms 127

Grace

"A guilty man set free on the account of another, is that justice? No that’s grace"  It’s all about the gospel! The two greatest results of advancing the gospel is that people are hearing the gospel and that people are preaching the gospel. Advancement doesn’t come by smiling and moral excellence. Though they are great qualities to have as believers. But! The advancement of the gospel comes by speaking truth into the hearts of sinners. As Paul said “But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim); because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. For the Scripture says, "Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame." For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. For "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!" But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, "Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us?" So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.” Rom 10:8-17

In Service

Are You Listening?

Telling stories is how we spread information, teach, build community, offer compassion and build rapport.

But listening to stories is how we honor others, offer healing, build relationships, affirm dignity and learn from each other.

“One of the most sincere forms of respect is actually listening to what another has to say.”

Being listened to is the gift we might have requested for Christmas—if we thought we could get it. When another human takes time to give you the gift of their open presence and acceptance, you find yourself sharing ideas and feelings you might not have known you had.

“Listening is a magnetic and strange thing, a creative force. The friends who listen to us are the ones we move toward. When we are listened to, it creates us, makes us unfold and expand.”

Listening to someone is powerful.

Go

We commit to GO outside the Church to do local ministry outreach, international missions work, and to make disciples of all nations through evangelism.  Matthew 25: 31 -43

The Men's "Huddle"

Acceptance | Encouragement | Empowerment

Similar to a “huddle” used in football, where a team of men, each having different roles and responsibilities, come together to implement a play to overcome the defense of the opposition, the spiritual "huddle" is quite the same.  The Huddle provides all men:

  • An open and safe atmosphere where all men can have focused discussions on the various topics that concern us each day.
  • Where men can face our unique issues together and develop friendships.
  • A place to be uplifted, empowered, and encouraged.
  • A place where everyone helps each other succeed in every aspect of the lives as men.

God's Word encourages this kind of community:

“If one falls down, his friend can help him up.
But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up! Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.”  (Ecclesiastes 4:10-12)
